Session #3- Mind Over Matter - Inversions & Meditation

Inversions are more than just a physical practice. They are also an opportunity to create balance between our mind and our breath.
We will begin with a focused asana practice, linking effort and mindfulness, and preparing the body for inversions. We will then explore different variations of Sirsasana(Headstand) and Salamba Sarvangasana(Shoulder Stand) with props and modifications making the energetics of these poses accessible for every practitioner in a supportive way. This class will conclude with extended pranayama and meditation practice.
Even if you feel you are not ready for the full expression of these postures, come practice anyway. We will show how you can utilize props to modify and to safely make progress in these beneficial poses.
